Welcome to this card reading for 2020, using the Work Your Light oracle deck.

Before choosing your card (or cards), close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Try to calm your thoughts. I find that breathing out through my mouth helps. If you have a particular question, hold it in your mind as you look at the image below. Then choose the card or cards you feel drawn to. Once you have made your choice, scroll down to see your reading.

Don’t forget to please leave a comment either here or on Facebook (or you can send me a private message if you prefer) to let me know how you get on. I really appreciate your feedback as it helps me to know not only that you’ve read the post, but also that you have found it useful and want me to continue with these readings.

Here are your cards for 2020:

1.Don’t dim to fit in

How are you dimming your light in order to fit in?

This is your year to shine; in order to do that, you need to really allow yourself to shine. Are there areas in your life where you’re not revealing your true self, hiding your light under a bushel? Now is the time to take a deep breath and stand up. You may find that this turns some people away from you, but these are not your people. Your light, when allowed to shine fully, will attract the right people to you. They are waiting for you to shine.

2. Get grounded

Empaths. Highly sensitives. Connect with Nature.

This has been a busy time for you and it can be easy to become fraught and stressed. Take time to ground yourself, to reconnect with who you really are and what you really want. Don’t allow your mind to pull you up and out, away from what your heart desires. Now is the time to ground yourself and to use your energy to stay connected to your source. This connection will guide you in the right direction.

3. Trust your path

If you knew you would be supported, what would you do?

Sometimes following your true path can mean making difficult decisions, and stepping well out of your comfort zone. It is important to trust your path and know that if you are acting in alignment with your higher self, you will not go wrong. Stay true to yourself and know that you are on your true, divinely guided path. Take bold leaps. Have courage. Take the first step, and the rest of the path will begin to appear for you. Trust that it will be there.

4. You’re already doing it

Stop overthinking. Keep facing your true north.

It is easy to feel like we’ll begin on our path once we’ve done this, or taken care of that. The truth is that you are already on your path – this is your path, right now. You are already doing it. Just keep taking the next step and the next step and know that you are on your way. Do not fear; just keep facing in the direction of your dreams and goals. This is your path and you are already on it. No need to complicate.

2020 Thoughts

2020 is the start of a new year and a new decade. It is time to leave behind those things that have not served you over the last ten years. Now is not a time for ticking off goals achieved, or even for setting new resolutions for the coming year. Rather, spend a little time in silence and thinking about what you can let go of now. Are there habits or behaviours better left behind you? Are there relationships that no longer serve you? This does not mean you should suddenly cut all ties with a particular person, but rather work to let go of your attachment to them. Often the problems we experience with our relationships with others are created by our attachment and a desire for them to behave in a certain way. When we can let go of this, the relationship is able to flourish and grow without being hampered by expectation.

Let go of 2019 and open yourself to the opportunities and adventures of 2020!
