This week (after a vote on Facebook) we are using the “Daily Guidance from your Angels” cards by Doreen Virtue. This is the first deck I bought, and it’s my favourite – possibly because I feel better connected to them, from working with them for longer.

Here’s how this works: take a deep breath and calm your thoughts. Look at the image below and decide which card (or cards) you are drawn to. I usually just pick one, but it’s ok to pick two – or even more if you feel like it! Once you’ve chosen your card, scroll down and take a look at the photo and write-up to see which your card was, and what it means.

I stopped doing free personalised readings at the end of July. If you emailed your request before the end of the month I will get your reading to you soon! I’m currently working on what I’ll do about personalised readings going forward.

Next week’s reading will be with a different deck of cards; keep an eye out on Facebook for a poll as to which one I should use!

Dont’ forget to leave a comment either here or on Facebook and let me know how you get on!

Here are this week’s cards:

  1. Joy
Joy is the highest energy of all. It’s the magical sense that everything is possible. Joy springs from appreciating the gifts within each moment. Joy allows you to attract and create your present and future moments at their highest possible levels.
This card has come to you as a reminder that it is good for you to feel joy – and you should do it as often as possible! Feeling joyful is where your power comes from; when we are in this higher vibration great things can happen. How can you bring more joy into your life this week? And how can you bring joy to others? Often it’s when we light up someone else’s life that we feel this amazing sense of joy and fulfilment. When you feel joy in how your life is right now, you create space for better things to flood in. Focus on joy this week, as much as possible.
  2. Let Your Past Go
The burden of carting your past around has made you weary, Dear One. It’s time to set this burden down. Keep only the lessons and the love, and leave everything else behind. You don’t want it or need it, and it’s now gone.
This can be a tricky one – it’s so easy to say “let your past go” but it can be difficult and many of us are clinging to our pasts without even really realising it. This card is here because your feelings and thinking about the past are holding you back and it’s time to let go. You are repeating a pattern again and again because of unfinished or unresolved emotions from your past. If someone wronged you, it can be hard to let go of the bad feeling around this but it’s important to do so. Take a deep breath and imagine yourself breathing out (through your mouth) all of your bad feeling around that particular event or person. Say out loud, “I forgive you.” Sometimes we don’t even realise what we’re holding on to; we may need to forgive a loved one for dying and leaving us, or even to forgive ourselves for staying somewhere when we feel we should have left. Spend a little time this week examining what things from your past can be let go – and then work on doing just that.
  3. Innocence
Beloved One, everyone is guiltless in truth, as no one can alter God’s handiwork of perfection. Give us your feelings of heaviness so we can lighten your load. Give us any guilt, anger, or blame that may shroud your loving outlook. Enjoy the peace within your heart once more.
This card is a reminder that there is nothing to be gained in apportioning blame, in labelling people or situations as “right” or “wrong.” It doesn’t matter where the guilt lies or who might be innocent; try to approach every situation with love and compassion. Even the most disagreeable person is loved by someone, somewhere; somebody looks at them the way you look at the most treasured people in your life. Often when people beahve in a way we think of as “bad” it’s because they are hurt and lashing out, or they don’t know how to deal with what they are feeling. When we meet this with accusations and blame we only add to the bad feeling.
The idea of innocence also applies to ourselves. Guilt is a pointless emotion; it brings nothing but pain and is best left behind. If you regret something you have said or done, apologise or make a gesture to put things right, and then move on. This week, try to look at every person and situation from the point of view that we are all innocent and doing the best we can with what we have.
  4. Creative Project
Your soul longs to express itself in creative ways. We’re guiding you to infuse artistry and creativity into your life. Creative expression makes you feel alive and excited, and reignites passion toward your life.
Do you have a creative hobby that you’ve been neglecting lately? This card is here to remind you to find an outlet for creative expression. Many people see a card like this and think, Oh, but I’m not creative. We are all creative in our own way – but often this is metaphorically beaten out of us as children. We may have been told we are not good at drawing, or perhaps we have compared our art work to our friends’ and felt that we were not as good as them. The point is not to be “good” at something; the point is to allow yourself that freedom of expression. This could be writing, drawing, painting, knitting, playing music – anything that allows you to get into that flow state where you lose track of the time and any thoughts that had been going through your head. Where you are able to focus and really enjoy what you are doing – whether the end result is “good” or not. This week, find something you can do to allow yourself creative expression – and resolve not to judge your work for its worthiness or “goodness” – spend time losing yourself in something you truly enjoy, without judgement or expectation.
