S was delighted to be sent a BIC Kids Colouring Wallet for review. She loves to draw – and to write too, these days – so this was always destined to be a hit.

BIC Kids colouring pack

This set comes with pencils, pens and crayons – but the crayons are the grown-up kind that you can sharpen and use like a pencil. S was particularly impressed with this idea. Even more exciting: the crayons had both a gold and a silver one. The crayons are actually made from plastic rather than wax, so they’re more durable and also washable – a bonus for us parents!

I thought the pack they came in was just fancy packaging but actually, when we opened it we discovered this:

It’s actually a case you can keep your pens, pencils and crayons in neatly. As you can probably tell, S was fairly impressed with that. We’ve decided that since they’re so beautifully displayed and easy to keep, these can be kept upstairs for colouring emergencies in her new bedroom. She’s quite chuffed at that.

This colouring kit comprises 12 plastidecolor crayons, 12 Evolution colouring pencils and 12 felt pens. As I mentioned above, the crayons are made from plastic not wax – but the pencils are made from resin rather than wood so they’re tidier when it comes to sharpening and they’re also more lightweight and durable. The pens are completely washable too – which is why they’re allowed into the bedroom!

This is a great colouring set for any child from age 3 up. I love that the crayons are more grown up than a normal pack of crayons so older children (and adults) can enjoy using them while still looking super cool.

You can get this set from Amazon and other good retailers.
