Read on for 5 confidence boosting tricks.

Keep on top of your personal maintenance

There’s nothing wrong with going a few weeks without shaving your legs or cancelling that appointment at the hairdressers because of the rain. But it’s amazing how good you can feel after your exfoliate, shave, moisturise, put on a face mask and just give yourself a little TLC. By maintaining a self-image that makes you feel good, you’ll feel confident all the time! It’s amazing how something as small as getting your nails done or just curling your hair can really lift your mood.

Do one thing that scares you, every day

We all sit quite happily in our comfort zones. So much so that when we’re asked to do something that is a little out of the ordinary or upsets out routines, we can easily slip into a panic. We over think things, feel insecure about our abilities or worry about the worst case scenario. The best way to fight these insecurities to do something that scares you every day. Tackle your fears head on and you’ll feel your confidence soar!

Mute your inner critic

We spend so much time criticising ourselves, what if we approved of ourselves instead? It’s easy to listen to your inner critic – the little voice in your head that tells you all about the negative possibilities if you try and do something, or the voice that said, I told you so when things go wrong. If you’re struggling with your self-confidence, then it might be a case of your inner critic is overactive and, most importantly inaccurate. Find opportunities to congratulate yourself, compliment and reward yourself. If you’re always telling yourself that you won’t succeed – then question your inner critic!

Care for yourself

Self-care is never selfish. Yes, you might have a million things to do, but taking care of yourself should always be at the top of that list. Afterall, how can you begin to feel good about yourself if you’re struggling with your image? Or you feel physically drained all the time? Make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep, make time to exercise, find time to do the things that make you happy and dress in a way that makes you feel good.

Stand tall

We spend so much time slouched at laptops and in front of the TV, posture often goes out of the window. When you’re walking along, remind yourself to stand up straight and you’ll instantly feel more confident – give it a try!
