Review: L.O.L. Surprise! Series 2

S was delighted when this arrived in the post. Not so long ago she received an L.O.L. Lil Sister for review, and she really loves anything that involves an unwrapping of some kind. I took a (rather wobbly) video of her opening her new L.O.L Surprise! doll:

 

 
There are over 45 dolls to collect in Series 2, and each one has seven layers of surprises inside: a secret message sticker; a sticker sheet; a water bottle charm; a pair of shoes; an outfit; an accessory (we got a necklace) and the doll herself.

The ball they come in can be used in four different ways: as a carrying case; as a doll display (as per the photo below); as a bath play set and as a hangout play set. 

Once the doll is unwrapped you can feed her with water and find out whether she cries, spits the water out or does a wee. I won’t spoil your surprise by letting you know what S’s does, but she loves it. Kids love anything involving water, don’t they! You can also put them in cold water and see if they change colour.

These are a little more expensive than the usual blind bag type toys you can get in the shops – but they also have a larger toy and more surprises which justifies the price. I think S is already angling to get another one!
