Reasons to be Cheerful

I can’t decide if this week has been a good or bad one so far… we’ll go with good. If in doubt, assume awesomeness in large quantities.

Here are my reasons to be cheerful this week:

Moving furniture– We’ve lived here almost a year, and all of the furniture has stayed mostly where it was shoved when we first moved in. It’s far from ideal, and I’ve been really fed up with it always looking like we’ve just moved in. This week, in a fit of madness (my internet was down again), I decided to move some furniture around. It’s not finished yet but I’m hoping I can get rid of some junk too and have a nice home.

Helpful friends– My broadband has been dropping in and out for a couple of weeks now, and it’s driving me mad. Whenever I speak to my provider about it, they remind me that if they send an engineer out and the fault is found to be with my equipment, there will be a £65 charge. It’s one of those things that makes you a bit paranoid that perhaps you’ve just done something a bit daft and there’s nothing wrong with their stuff. Hooray then, for a friend who knows his shit and came round to check it out for me. He confirmed that the ADSL was dropping out and that was entirely the problem of my provider. And not my fault.

More helpful friends – Super hooray for the wonderful Kip from Three Fishes Design who has given this site a fantabulous make over! This time last year I moved the site over from Blogger to self-hosted, and I was so daunted by trying to get it looking how I wanted, I barely blogged for a month. A year later, it was still looking a bit patchy and rubbish… and now it looks all swishy and lovely! Thanks Kip, you’re a ledge. (incidentally, Kip is a blogger himself and works with a lot of bloggers. He’s good at what he does, because he knows what bloggers want. If you want a site redesign, or help moving over from Blogger, give him a shout)

How is your week going? What are you grateful for today?
