Having been sent a couple of different treats to try lately, we decided the best idea would be to have a little afternoon taste test/treat session. After all, who doesn’t love a little afternoon treat?
First, we were sent these new chocolate topped rice cakes from Kallo. I like the idea of these because plain Kallo rice cakes have the shortest possible ingredients list: brown rice. That’s it. They’re my snack of choice when I’m in a snacky mood, and I often spread peanut butter or cream cheese on a rice cake for lunch. S loves a rice cake here and there too, but then she still likes a treat snack too. These hit the mark because they are rice cakes with a little chocolate on top – and nowhere near as sugary (or filled with random flavourings, additives, colourings…)
Well, here is the photo I tried to take of the packet before we started eating…
Let’s just say, they didn’t last long. Here is S skillfully modelling the fact they come in handy little packs, perfect for a lunch box.
Next, we had some new florentines from Thomas J Fudge’s…
After the success of the rice cakes, S was keen to try these too!
General consensus was: thumbs up!
Luckily for mummy though, S still preferred the rice cakes – so I got to eat some of the florentines!
