bathroom scales review

I was sent the Ozeri Rev Digital Bathroom Scale for review.

This is no ordinary set of bathroom scales. For a start, there is a dial showing lbs and kilos, as well as an LCD display which can be set to display either, by pressing a small button on the back. They are also the most accurate, reliable scales I have ever owned.

I live in a very old building. When my sister first used my bathroom she told me the wonky floors and walls made her feel like she was drunk. As well as being like something from Fun House, my bathroom is also very small – so my scales live propped upright against the side of the sink unit. You could never store mechanical scales like this; they are supposed to be kept in the same place and horizontal at all times or else they deviate and give incorrect results. These scales though, are perfect and work perfectly every single time – whether they are facing up the slope of my bathroom floor, or down it  – or across it!

These scales use four high precision sensors that weigh in 0.1kf or 0.2lb increments. They also work as soon as you step onto them; you don’t have to do that thing where you tap them first to switch them on. And they switch off automatically too so as to save battery power.

I love these scales; they are incredibly high-tech, offering the option of a regular alarm to ensure you weigh yourself at the same time every day. They have a gorgeous retro design though, with the large dial. I like the fact the dial actually works, too – I’m not a big fan of “retro” design that’s not actually useful.

The only thing I don’t like about these scales is that you can’t get your weight in stones and pounds, something most English people prefer. You can have it in super accurate pounds or kilos though, and I’d rather have accuracy.

NB I was provided with these scales free of charge for the purposes of review. All words and opinions are my own.
