Weekly Weigh In #3
I feel like I’ve made a big difference this week, like I’ve finally made some sort of actual change to my lifestyle. To be honest, I think that has a lot to do with the fact I’m still listening to my Slimpod every evening at bed time – and a very inspiring conversation I had with a friend who has lost loads of weight lately and completely changed his lifestyle since the start of this year.
Goal for last week
Last week’s goal was to go to the gym around the corner and sign up. I have no excuse I just didn’t do this. Must try harder!
Goal for this week
This week’s goal is to actually go to the gym around the corner and sign up. And stop procrastinating!
Last week’s plan was to exercise 3 times, and increase the time spent doing so.
I’ve been doing the Davina McCall 7 Minute Fit dvd, where each workout is – yep, you guessed it, 7 minutes. I was only doing one at a time but I’ve stepped that up to 2 at a time, and on some occasions, 3!
My problem is that the ab workout is really effective… but actually makes my hernia feel worse the day after.
This week’s plan is to keep up the exercise, but to do more core work – not necessarily the Davina dvd, but general core exercises.
Last week’s plan was to eat breakfast. I have done better than the previous week, but am still perfectly happy to just have a coffee while S eats. I treated myself to some duck eggs in the week, which was really nice for breakfast!
This week’s plan is to work on my snacking and make sure there are only healthy snacks in the house!
Weight & Measurements
Weight: 11st 9lb. Last week: 12st 3lb
Neck: 14″ same as last week
Bust: 38″ Last week: 39″
Waist: 35.5″ Last week: 37″
Hips: 39.5″. Last week: 40″
R&L Thigh: 25″/24.5″ last week: 25″/24″
R&L Calf: 15″/14.5″ Last week:14.5″/14.5″
Oh my word! A 6lb loss and 1.5 inches off my waist! (I would expect my thighs and calves to fluctuate as muscle grows where I’m walking/exercising more)
I have to make an important note here: until this week, I was weighing myself on a Sunday evening, after S went to bed – usually before I’d had my tea, but sometimes after. Last week’s disappointing results were after we’d been to a friend’s house for roast dinner. This week, I weighed and measured myself in the morning, before breakfast – which will account for some of the difference. I suppose I don’t know how much of the difference was that, and how much was actual weight loss, until I do the same next week and see the difference.
That said, seeing such an amazing difference, and being below 12 stone for the first time in a long time, has given me a massive mental lift, and made me feel like I can actually do this. For me, the mental side is the larger part of the battle so I’m hopeful I can continue this.
Hooray for me!

Great job! I recently started a fitness/weight loss quest about 3.5 weeks ago, so it's nice to find someone else who is in about the same spot as me. Best wishes in the coming week! You can do it. Maisy Fernandez recently posted...Archie Warren: The Dog That Used Crosswalks

Your featured image cracks me up every week! Love it! You are doing amazingly well - what an awesome loss this week! First thing in the morning (after the first toilet break) and whilst butt naked is the best time to weigh - clearly it has worked for you! Get your butt down to the gym lady, you will thank me! When I first joined, I needed a buddy with me, I was too scared - of what I don't know, I had been to that particular gym before - now - I love going on my own, it means I can freely check out the talent without having to worry about keeping up with a conversation! ;) The simple pleasures in life but it definitely spurs me on for the rest of the day! Hope you are having a good week and hope to see you at #WeightLossWednesday Sim xx Sim @ Sims Life recently posted...Weight Loss Wednesday – Week 10 #WeightLossWednesday

Yay! Well done on the loss, that must be a great motivation. Hopefully they can give you some advice at the gym as to the best exercises which won't hurt your hernia, ouch!
