Weeky Weigh In #1 (2)

Well, I’m one week down… and I was fairly scared to step onto the scales this week if I’m honest!

Goal for last week

Last week’s goal was to cut down my fizzy drink consumption… I did drink a little less, but I’m stil drinking more than I would like, so it’s something to work on.

Goal for this week

This week’s goal is to go to the gym around the corner and sign up! Last week I got as far as emailing them, and they came back and said I don’t need an appointment, and to pop in any time. This is exactly what I didn’t need! It’s easy to put something off when you don’t have an appointment! I need to just take a deep breath and go on in!

My plan was to exercise three times last week.
I actually manged this, which is a nice feeling. I’ve also done a lot of walking, what with one thing and another. I feel more sprightly. I think the good weather has helped!
Next week I intend to exercise three times, but increase the time spent doing so.

Last week my plan was to focus on eating breakfast every day.
I managed it for about two days, and even made a rather suspicious-looking green smoothie… but then it sort of went out the window. I’m going to try again this week, after doing some proper shopping and making sure the cupboards are stocked!

Weight & Measurements

Weight: 12st 3lb Last week: 12st 2lb
Neck: 14″ same as last week
Bust: 39″ same as last week
Waist: 37″ same as last week
Hips: 40″. Last week: 40.5″
R&L Thigh: 25″/24″ last week: 25.5″/25″
R&L Calf: 14.5″/14.5″ Last week:15″/14.5″

I’m really trying not to be disillusioned by this. The one week I feel like I’ve done well, and I actually put on weight!

I did these measurements last night, after S and I had spent the afternoon at a friend’s house eating roast dinner… so I’m hopeful that accounts for the increase in weight and lack of change in measurements. Still, I didn’t eat a huge amount of food – and I did have an active week.

Still, I’ve no choice but to keep on with this; giving up will only make things worse. Still, this weight loss lark is a lot less easy once you’re over 30, isn’t it!

Yey!!! Well done on the loss chick and cutting down on the fizzy pop – you will notice a difference for sure. I love your image on this post!
Looks like you have some great goals for the week ahead – I definitely find that going to the gym 3 times a week is helping and going on my bike on rest days… it’s all adding up! Good luck with the eating breakfast every day, it’s something I forget sometimes and I need to try harder!
Hope you are having a good week! Sim #WeightLossWednesday xx

Keep at it. Cutting down fizzy pop (if sugary) wil make such a difference. Drinking calories is such a waste so you can save them for your nice food! Well done on 3 gym visits as well. Good luck for next weigh in! xx #bloggingtojogging

Oh no at the weight gain… I def say its the roast dinner. I always have to weigh first thing with no drink or food in me, after going for my morning wee…. im 9 weeks into my journey, and yes ive had gains, but we are on the right path, which means eventually it will go the right way. Good luck at getting into the gym! #bloggingtojogging

Thanks! Am trying not to be p1ssed off about the weight gain. Definitely blaming it on the roast! I’d prefer to weigh etc first thing but with S roaming about that’s easier said than done and I’d rather she didn’t see me doing that sort of thing!

Ahh I hate it when you think you’ve had a good week and then you don’t see a change on the scales, stay positive though! OOh I really want to join a gym, but I don’t think I’ll have time to go :( so outside exercising it is! Good luck for this week!
