My (2)

The end of March; the beginning of April…

Goals for March

Earn More Money – I just about did this! I had a quick look at the past couple of months and I’ve definitely invoiced more money in each month this year. I’m high-fiving myself right now.

Maintain The Blog Pace –  I think my blogging mojo has waned slightly over the last couple of weeks. I seem to have been going mad with my writing since Christmas, so it was bound to happen some time. Still, I think I did well this month, all in all – and my page views are up from February, so I can’t complain!

Sort The Living Room! – Er… *whistles* Well, the living room is still a tip – but I have discovered that S really loves to use our vacuum cleaner – it’s a real treat for her. So on our days of lately, S has happily vacuumed our bedroom floor while I set about clearing more space for her to do so! So our living room might be a mess, but our bedroom actually looks quite reasonable right now!

Goals for April

Secure One New Client – At the start of this year I set myself the goal of securing a new client each month. I’ve allowed myself to slide on that, and that’s no way to grow a business. So this month, I must secure a new client!

Post Daily on the Blog – I want to keep up the momentum on the blog, but also not to set unrealistic targets. I think in March I had one day where I didn’t post at all. I intend to post every day in April – technically the same number of days, since April has only 30.

Sort the Bedroom Once & For All – Since S seems to quite enjoy vacuuming the bedroom, this is the perfect excuse to spend some time in there, tidying things away and organising. Since we moved in, the bedroom has been the only room with any extra space so there are piles of junk along most walls. I love the feeling of walking in there and feeling like there’s loads of space – and we’re nowhere near finished yet!

Last Week’s Weekly Goals

Make a List of Priorities – Well, I made a to-do list, but I didn’t prioritise it… and I didn’t really do much from it either! Must try harder!

Sort the Magazine Pile of Doom – I sorted through the pile… but not everything ended up in a new home! I have a smaller pile of “hmm what should I do with this” stuff now!

Manage My Tuesday – I think I did fairly well with Tuesday. When nursery pick-up time rolled around, I didn’t have a panicked feeling of “I’ve not finished what I needed to do.” My week was still busy, but I feel like for once, I did everything I could do on my work day. .

This week’s goals

Send At Least One Pitch Emal – I used to spend a lot of time going through potential leads and sending out pitches, but I’ve not done it for ages. If I want to expand my business, I need to make it a regular part of my weekly schedule.
Post Daily on the Blog – if I want to hit my monthly goal, I need to do it weekly! I take part in several linkys on other blogs, as well as running some myself, and then there is the #DayInTheLife project, and I’ve just started a weekly showcase of #LovelyBlogs so this shouldn’t be too difficult.
Take Everything to the Charity Shop – there is a charity shop less than a block away from our house, but still I have (at last count) a box, 3 bags and a George Foreman grill waiting to be taken down to them. Since I have to walk past that shop to get to pretty much anywhere I go on a daily basis, there’s no reason to have all this junk all over my house and I know once it’s gone the house will feel much better.
Have you set any goals this week? I’d love to hear how you’re getting on!

Good luck with your April goals and your weekly goals!! I hope you get your client! I am not a fan of tidying it up but it’s a good feeling when it’s done. Have a great week!
