OCTThis week, S has spent a lot of time reading her books. We have a large basket of books in each room of the house, and she loves to sit down and read them, one after the other.

In our living room, we have a sofa. There’s a big beanbag, S has two toddler-sized chairs at her table and there are usually blankets about. Still, her chosen place to sit is on a pink bathroom step that lives below our living room window. It stays there so that she can see out of the window when the bin lorries go past with their flashing lights – and of course so that she may kiss her collection of ducks goodnight and put them down for bed.

S has one particular book that she absolutely loves because it combines her two favourite elements. It’s a noisy book, and it’s a Fireman Sam book. Win!

Sometimes noisy books are the best (they drive me up the wall though).

I love that she gets on the step to view the Bin men going past. Apparently that used to be my highlight of the week when I was younger. Has she read the book about Aliens stealing underpants? That is really funny and so is ‘the dinosaur that popped’

Ooh, no we’ve not read either of them – will have to take a trip to the library I think!

Ha exactly that! I know they’re great fun… but they do “get lost” sometimes…
