This week’s podcast is all about generosity and gratitude, and how I think both can help us to be more happy.

Here are some links for things I mention in the podcast:

Shawn Achor’s amazing Ted Talk where he talks about how being grateful trains our minds to be more positive

Danny Wallace’s “Join Me” site – though he doesn’t seem to update it now he’s all famous

The blogger who does a shout out for another blogger each week is Mamamim. I had brain freeze while I was recording!

Thank you so much for mentioning me Vicky – you’re completely nailed the reason I wanted to share. I spend so much time reading and enjoying other blogs and want to share the ones I love with everyone else. It’s actually really really hard to only share 1 per week, there are so many talented writers and lovely and interesting people to read about :) Mim @

Hi Vicky, I’m so into this right now too. Last year after a bout of anxiety caused by a stressful few months I had to do something to get myself back on track and happy again. So I read a book called “How to be happy” and it focused on gratitude a lot. So I started to tell myself what I was grateful for each morning when I woke, or on the way to work and last thing at night. I believe it got me back into a positive mind set and helped me through that time. When I’m feeling a bit low or anxious I use it but I should make it a daily habit. xx

Fantastic! Who was that book by? It sounds great? I love the idea that we can train our brains to be more positive, it’s something I’m really into at the moment.
