The last week of January… finally!

How was your week? Did you get up to anything exciting? This week I had a really busy one… despite the fact I spent one day stuck at home with S who had been sick. I met my gorgeous new niece for the first time, had some meetings, did lots of research and secret plotting. It was great!

Network!  – I went to the networking event and it was actually ok. I met a few new people, shook a lot of hands, drank some coffee. Then I came home and made lots of notes, and signed up for lots more events. Get me and my business card handing-out skills!
Take action – I’ve failed a little at this one if I’m honest. I have done some of the things I needed to, but not enough. My website is still half set up, and I still have a very long list of things to do for the business!
Spend quality time with S – S was sick on Monday evening, but it was travel sickness not a bug. At the time though, I didn’t know whether it was a bug or not so she had to stay home from nursery on Tuesday. We stayed in all day, just in case there was a repeat performance, and spent the entire day playing. We did cutting and sticking, made play dough, played with Peppa Pig Play Doh, watched Sponge Bob, played pretend kitchen, jumped on the trampoline. It was lovely. On Wednesday it was our day off, and we did more of the same. Fabulous.

This week’s goals
Keep up the good work I’ve had a really productive week this week, and been completely on top of the blog for the first time in ages. I drafted most of this post on Friday night, for goodness’ sake! I want to keep up with that, but also to stay on top of my work too. There’s no reason I can’t fit the amount of work I have into the number of hours I have. I need to dick around less!
Improve the podcast I finally published my first podcast last week, and it was very rough around the edges! The next podcast is already in progress and my plan is that when it’s published on Wednesday, it will demonstrate a marked improvement on last week’s. That’s the plan, any way
Tidy the house up I really need to do some actual housework around here. Like… seriously. I don’t even have a real excuse for not having kept on top of things; I’ve been more or less over the chest infection of doom for two weeks now. Time to crack open the dusters.
Have you set any goals this week?

Good luck with your goals this week!! Tidying up is so hard to do and staying clean is impossible!! Good luck with your podcasts!

Thanks Angela. I’m rubbish at the housework side of things. If there’s a blog to read or a Tweet to send, I’ll always do that before I tidy anything!

Congrats on launching your first podcast. what platform do you use for your podcast?

    Vicky Charles · 27/01/2015 at 08:59

Thanks Cassandre… I use a plugin called Blubrry. I’m having issues with the actual hosting at the moment, which I’m trying to iron out!

Great idea for a list… I’d also like to get posts written and scheduled in advance – I know I can do it but need much more self control! xx
