Weekly Wishes 2015-01-12

Well here we are, almost two weeks into the new year. This week has been tough – for everyone, I think! It’s been a big wrench to get out of bed in the mornings this week, after two weeks of lazing about! It’s felt good to get back into some sort of routine though, and to start getting the house cleared up again.

So how did I do with last week’s goals…

Get back to work – I’ve done reasonably well at this actually. Despite working 2 days in an office, and spending time at both the doctor’s surgery and the hospital, I’ve managed to get a fair amount of work done – which is always nice for the first week of a month!

Make up for lost time with S – I’m still working on this one! I’m still decidedly under the weather, and our day off on Wednesday was taken up by a trip to the hospital for a chest x-ray – but that did involve a bus trip, during which she saw some horses so I think she was fairly pleased with that. I can’t wait to be well again, so that we can actually do something!

Put the house to rights – I did manage eventually to take the tree down and pack the decorations away – though it took me ages to manage! The house is probably about half-way to where I need it to be, but we’re heading in the right direction!

This week’s goals
Nail the podcast – we’re almost two weeks into the new year, and I’ve still not managed to record one! My voice sounds awful at the moment, and I’m still wheezing a bit when I breathe but I’m hoping I can get something recorded this week, to be released next week. I think part of me is probably putting it off because I’m nervous that people will hate it – or that they just won’t listen to it! But the only way to get over that fear is to just get on and do it!
Keep up with the blog – I’ve done really well lately at posting every day… in fact, so far this month I’ve posted two or three times on several days! I want to keep up that momentum; I think the more I write, the more I’m able to write and I want to improve both my blog and my blogging.
Step up my work – I have two meetings this week about work, and I am really excited about both of them! I want to get right on top of my work and get to a point where I’ve done enough work in advance that I have time to work on all my other little side projects I’ve had on the back burner for months/years! 2015 is to be my year of productivity!
I’m hopeful of achieving these goals!
