A Snapshot From Our Weekend
Just lately, S has been choosing her own outfits – and it turns out she does a better job than mummy! For anyone interested, the top is from Next (last year’s Boxing Day sale, I think), skirt from M&S (Autumn sale I think) and leggings (spotty though you can’t see them) from H&M. On Saturday morning she decided breakfast could wait, and instead practised her running from the bathroom door, into my bedroom and back again.
For Christmas last year, Big S gave Little S one of those puppet books, Snowy Bear. For months she wouldn’t go near it – but over the last few months she’s been completely mad about puppets, and she loves Snowy Bear. On Saturday morning, she brought Snowy Bear to me with her drink, wanting Snowy Bear to steal her drink. Afterwards, Snowy Bear got a big kiss. Incidentally, this is how I managed to capture the lovely photo I used for My Sunday Photo this week.
We watched Spongebob on Saturday morning while we had a late breakfast. S has started saying “bit cold, mummy!” while she’s a the table, in the hope that I will relent and let her have a big blanket wrapped around her. On Saturday though, I put a hat on her, and it seemed to do the trick!
On weekend mornings when we don’t have plans, I like to be very lazy and put a dvd on in the bedroom. S likes to lay on top of the covers and demand “sausage mummy!” which means I wrap her in the duvet, like a sausage. These days she won’t smile for the camera so I have to catch her off guard by peeling back the covers when she’s busy being a sausage!
Never underestimate the worth of a good box. This is left over from our house move in October, and S still loves to hide in it. Yesterday she took a blanket in with her and sat all snuggled up until tea time.
I can hands down say that my kids have better fashion sense than I do! S looks so happy in the pictures you take X carla recently posted...2014 in review
Seems like a lovely lazy weekend :) I love the sausage idea! I need to get my little boy a table, I think it's time he can eat his snacks at his own table. Thanks for reminding me! #magicmoments Joanna @mumbalance recently posted...Mallorca in Winter – The Imperfect Holiday
