Review-

When I posted a photo on social media of the Nakd food bars I’d been sent to review, people went crazy! I’ll admit I had seen them around before, but I’d never tried them. Suddenly people were discussing which was their favourite flavour, telling me which to try first, telling me how amazing they are.

I thought they were just another one of those healthy cereal bar things that taste a bit like sawdust but are “healthy” and “virtuous” so we buy them and eat them instead of Kit Kats; I figured I’d give them a go; at the very worst, it was some free food to keep in my handbag for snack emergencies… As it turned out though, they didn’t last long enough for any of that!

What I hadn’t realised about these bars is that they’re not the usual, sawdust variety. They’re raw – meaning that they’re not cooked or messed about with. Instead the ingredients are just sort of smooshed together, and cold pressed. There’s no added sugar or wotnot either, so they’re the perfect angelic new year snack. Except they don’t taste like angelic new year snacks. They taste just as good as something one would usually feel more guilty about.

The flavours are amazing, too. None of this “goji berries and virtue” nonsense; there’s rhubarb and custard, cafe mocha, cocoa orange,  and cocoa mint. I love them!

I’ve been nosing about their website, and find that they also sell protein bars which looks really good… I might have to buy myself some – then I can fool myself that I’m being super healthy and eating lots of protein!

I get emails from Nakd (no idea why!) and I’ve always thought they sounded amazing – definitely will be trying some now! The flavours sound incredible. #weekendbloghop
