For those who don’t know, my challenge for December is to post a selfie every day this month.

I’m one week in, and so far I’ve managed to post a photo of myself on social media every day – which is an achievement, since I’ve almost forgotten a few times!

The main point of this exercise was for me to be more accepting of how I look though, and to be happier with posting photos of myself… Seven days in, I’m not quite there yet! I still dislike how my face looks; I think a lot of that has to do with the fact I’ve put on a bit of weight. Earlier this week, my Timehop showed selfies I’d taken on that day one and two years ago, and the difference was really obvious. Here’s a photo of me from two years ago, when S was eight months old:

After S was born I did a lot of walking, and even used one of those power plate machines for a while; I lost a lot of weight and for a while I weighed less than I did before I got pregnant. I’m not sure what happened to cause me to start putting weight on again. I have a Slimpod, which I’ve not used since I moved house – and now I think of it, I don’t have a reason for that. It was working really well for me. Perhaps I should start listening to it again!

I will update again next week as to my progress…
