Book Review & Giveaway: Jungle Jam
As you may have noticed, we love children’s books in our house. In fact, I have a sneaky suspicion that S has more books than toys in her room these days. Every couple of days I have to go into her room and rescue all the books from her bed so that there’s space for her to sleep!
Now that she’s learning to read she likes to get her hands on new books for us to read together – so she was really pleased when we received Jungle Jam and Jungle Jam in Brazil arrived for us to review.
So he decides to leave his home in the jungle, and sets out on a musical adventure to become a star and sing to the world. Along the way he meets different animals playing instruments; each asks him to join them but he says no; he’s off to be a star! Soon enough though, he realises that he and all of the instruments sound better when they work together as a band.
In Jungle Jam in Brazil, the band is heading off to Brazil for a show – but Gina Giraffe is nervous about leaving her home and trying new things. The band go through different scenarios where they try different things. Gina is unsure, but she tries a little on each occasion. When it comes to their show she’s really nervous but she realises she can conquer her fears and rock on!
Each book has an activity at the back, which S loves. These are really lovely stories that quietly teach children about team work and trying new things. S loves Jungle Jam in Brazil especially, because she loves giraffes – and this book has a giraffe on pretty much every page!
Thanks for reading.
