Reasons to be Cheerful

Wow, the last week of the month. Where has this year gone?! Here are my reasons to be cheerful…

Growing Up – S is at that age now where we can have proper conversations, and she has new words and sayings every day. It’s lovely to actually sit and chat to her, and brilliant to hear some of the things she comes out with. The other day when I was exercising the floorboards in our very old building were wobbling and she said “you’re going to break our house mummy!”

Continued Motivation – This week I realised we’ve been in our “new” flat for almost a year now, and so I’ve no excuse for how crappy it looks all the time. Luckily that realisation came with a delivery of a new shelf for the kitchen, and a lot of motivation. So hopefully our flat will look a lot better, really soon.

Lovely Friends – On Saturday evening I went to a friend’s house for dinner. It was supposed to be a barbeque but the weather was pants so we ate indoors. It was a lovely evening of chatter and being a grown up – something I’ve not done for a while!

How is your week going? What are you grateful for today?
