I first became aware of Moustache Stationery through their Instagram feed, which I loved immediately. Like most bloggers, I have a real thing for stationery so I was really excited to be sent a box for review.

Moustache Stationery Review

Moustache is a subscription service where you pay $39.95 per month for a box of gorgeous stationery to be delivered to your door. This is no ordinary stationery though; owners James and Simone are constantly searching for the best stationery they can find, usually from small independent stationery producers.

It’s obvious this box has been put together by people who love stationery.

The packaging is perfect and very neat. I almost didn’t want to unpack the contents as they were so perfectly packed…

Moustache Stationery Portability Box

In this month’s box I had (clockwise from top):

Caran d’Ache Swiss Wood Pencil – traditional pencils are made with cedar wood; this one is made with Swiss beech wood and the difference in quality is noticeable.

Caran d’Ache Rubber  – to go with the pencil!

Halaby Aero Flightbooks – two pocket notebooks with grid lined paper. Perfect for the times you’re out and about without a massive bag, but you still need to take a pen and paper with you (it’s not just me who needs to have a pen and paper on me at all times, right?)

Cerulean Press Letterpress Notecards – gorgeous moustache themed notecards. As well as the brown card with matching envelope shown here, there are three gorgeous white notecards with a subtle moustache embossed in the corner. All printed by hand, these will be saved for a very special note!

Tombow PFit Ballpoint Pen – This pen is so cool! The blue clip makes it super handy for clipping to a notebook or shirt pocket but the best part is that when you activate the clip, it retracts the ball point pen… let me show you with this fantastic and brilliantly filmed video…

You see?

Pilot Petit Fountain Pen – I recently discovered that the kids these days like to buy disposable fountain pens, rather than owning one pen and buying ink cartridges. This was a complete novelty for me. Imagine my surprise then, when one turned up in my Moustache box! Very pleased with this – and it’s a mini one so I can take it everywhere with me, and be all super cool!

And last but not least, there is a lovely sticker. Even the sticker is good quality, with a textured finish and thicker than your standard sticker.

I love this Moustache Stationery box because it’s clearly been put together by someone who gets as excited as I do when they stumble across something new and exciting in the world of pens and notepads. Everything is of exceptional quality and feels luxurious to use – especially the posh pencil, which is a surprise to me as I’d always thought a pencil was just a pencil.

Wow! I think it’s a great box but a bit too high brow for me. The contents look like they are amazing quality but the price is far too much for me. #weekendbloghop
