My Life with S

Reasons to be Cheerful 2015-06-18

Reasons to be Cheerful

How’s your week? I’m having a weird one. I realised yesterday that Brit Mums Live is next week – and I’ve not got train tickets or sensible clothes or anything yet! Will have to work on that one.

Here are my reasons to be cheerful this week:

Brit Mums Live – I’m off to London Town tomorrow for Brit Mums Live, which is jolly exciting – if a little intimidating. I’m silently panicking that nobody will talk to me, I’ll sit in the corner on my own for the entire thing, I’ll look out of place, blah blah. But I had a great time last year and am sure this year will be even better!

De Af – My sister has been commandeered for baby sitting duties for most of this month, so when I was asked to attend an event in London on Tuesday evening I almost declined. I asked her on the off-chance whether she would mind babysitting and she said of course she would – even though she’s having S this weekend and again on Thursday evening.

Tidying – The last month or so has been a bit bonkers, and I’ve been far from on top of the housework. Yesterday was our day off and I decided to do something about it. In half an hour S and I had made a considerable dent in the living room and tried out our new Dyson vacuum cleaner – we both took a turn. Afterwards we went out, and on the way home S said “it’s all tidy at home Mummy!” It’s the simple things…

What are you grateful for this week?

Great reasons to be grateful this week! I'm really nervous about Brit Mums as well, it's my first time. I remember how daunting Blogfest felt last year and I imagine this to be even bigger! However, last year I knew no one and this year I feel like I "know" a lot more people. I'll be looking out for you but shout if you see me first :) Love S's minion bottoms! I'm so lucky with my sister; I'm missing S terribly but I know she's most likely not missing me at all!

It was so good to spend time with you at BML! Nobody did put baby in the corner, did they? (and your card was, by far, my favourite!) xx Ojo Henley recently posted...Please stop the Pop!My Profile
