Reasons to be Cheerful 2015-03-26
How has your week been? Been up to much? I’ve been… working! But it’s been fun! Here are my reasons to be cheerful this week:
S Is Happy! – I know I have this as one of my reasons every week… but hey, it’s my bloody blog. S is moving rooms at nursery. She did this last year, but she was moving from a big room full of 1-2 year olds, to a tiny room of maximum 8 2-3 year olds. So I kind of knew she would be ok. This move is into the Butterfly room: 25 pre-schoolers. Besides the fact I’m horrified at the thought of my teeny tiny baby being a preschooler, I worry about her moving into a room full of older, bigger children. She had her first settling in session in the room this week – and didn’t want to go back to her own room when they came to collect her! As with most things, S seems to be adapting a lot faster than her mother! It’s good to know that between nursery taking care of her, and S being a generally easy going kid, I really have nothing to worry about.
Healthy Eating – I was sent a copy of That Sugar Book for review (the review will be here on Monday!), and it’s completely terrified me into doing something about my diet. This week I did my first food shop without buying any crap. None for me, none for S. There is still some junk in the house, but once it’s gone, it’s not coming back. The bottom of my fridge is rammed with greenery!
Book Reviews – I enjoy reading books for review (for the most part!) because it often sees me reading books I might not normally have picked off the shelf. I’ve been really lucky lately to be sent several books for review, and I’ve been offered several more – so watch this space! (and also my book shelves, as they wobble under the weight)
Thank you for reading!

I hope the move to the pre-school room goes well - kids do adapt really quickly. We have a nursery room move coming up at Easter too but we're a year behind you. The Tot is really ready and has loved her visits there. Good luck with the diet - I must get on that myself but am awaiting for the arrival of Tin Box Baby 2 - I'll make a good effort then! #WeekendBlogHop Tin Box Traveller recently posted...Review: maternity shoot with Lee Orchard Photography
What a cute little face! :) I love this post, my favourite kind of post. Glad your little one is settling in & adjusting well at nursery. I really should read some more books too! I only read about two a year, how disappointing! Sarah xx Sarah recently posted...Friday Favourites - Easter Edition
Oh dear maybe I need to read the book too. I'm sitting a professional exam in three weeks so I'm using that as an excuse for excessive eating. Once it's over though I must do something about all the crap I eat! morna recently posted...My child is an animal!
What a great week. That little face is enough to make you feel cheerful on its own. I hope the move into the preschool room goes well. From the sounds of it you have nothing to worry about. She sounds like a really confident little girl. Stopping by from #weekend-blog-hop x Sam recently posted...A Week Of Chickenpox Crafts

How can you not be happy when that sweet girl smiles like that. So cute. I'm glad you are trying to eat healthier. I'm there with you. It's just so hard when junk is so convenient and good. K. Renae P. recently posted...Great Blogging Advice That I Ignore
There are so many things to be cheerful about! Kids are always so happy and smiley! I think that you really have nothing to worry about your little girl moving nursery! Kids get used to changes very easy. I was very worried and concerned when my kid had to move to the group with the older children because she was very shy. After all she was fine and made some new friends. Greetings!
